The NEWEA Spring Meeting & Exhibit offers the following additional events and activities for attendees:

5K Run Hosted by RICWA: Sunday, May 19, 8:00 AM
Join RICWA for the first annual Run for Clean Water 5K to help raise money for New England’s Operations Challenge Teams. See ricwa.org to sign up.

President’s Reception: Sunday, May 19; 6:00 – 7:30pm
Join NEWEA’s President Scott Goodinson for a networking reception to kick off the Spring Meeting & Exhibit.  All registered attendees are welcome to attend.

Opening Session & Breakfast:  Monday, May 20, 8:00am
Start the meeting off right by participating in the opening session. See who’s speaking >>.  All registered attendees are welcome to attend.

Spring Meeting Welcome Reception and 5S Induction Ceremony: Monday, May 20, 6:00 – 7:30pm
Join us for networking and refreshments. Influent Integrator Charles W. Tyler will induct 20 new members into the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers. Those attending on Monday will need to purchase a ticket separately. 

Morning Bike Ride: Tuesday, May 21, 7:00 am
Start your day off right with an informal bike ride with the NEWEA cyclists! The pace is moderate but not competitive and all are welcome. There is no fee to participate.

Operations Challenge Competition:  Sunday, May 19, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm (set-up); Monday May 20, 8:00 – 11:30am; Tuesday, May 21, 8:15 am – 3:00 pm
Operators from throughout New England will compete in five categories.  The top teams will be sent to compete in the national competition during WEFTEC in New Orleans, LA in October. Come and watch the best wastewater collection and treatment personnel display their skills.  Separate registration for teams. Register>>

Reception & Operations Challenge Awards: Tuesday, May 21, 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Join us for a great networking reception in the exhibit area and to celebrate the Operations Challenge Awards. Included as part of the full meeting registration.  Those attending on Tuesday will need to purchase a ticket separately.
