Q. What are the dates of this year’s NEWEA Spring Meeting?
A. May 19-22, 2024

Q. Where will the NEWEA Spring Meeting take place?
A. NEWEA’s Spring Meeting will be held at the Hotel Viking in Newport, RI.

Q. Will my badge be mailed to me?
A. Registration name tags can be picked up onsite at the registration desk.

Q. How can I register for the NEWEA Spring Meeting?
A. Use the online registration form.

Q. What form of payment can I use to register for the conference?
A. NEWEA accepts the following forms of payment: Credit Card: American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA. Check: company, personal and travelers checks payable: NEWEA.

Q. I can’t remember my member number?
A. Your NEWEA member number is the same number as your WEF membership number. Contact NEWEA at mail@newea.org or 781-939-0908.

Q. Are there any discounts available on conference registration?
A. Yes, members receive a discounted rate.  Not a member?  Visit https://www.newea.org/participate/membership/ to learn more and join. Speakers also receive a discount.

Q. What is “PWO” and do I qualify?
A. PWO: Professional Wastewater Operator (PWO); you must be a NEWEA/WEF PWO Member AND work on a day-to-day basis in a treatment plant, and are responsible for the operation of wastewater collection, treatment and/or laboratory.

Q. I recently retired. How do I qualify for the retired rate?
A. Congrats! To qualify, you must have a retired membership with NEWEA/WEF.

Q. What is the “Regulatory” rate and do I qualify?
A. Regulatory refers to REGULATORY AGENCY and to qualify, you must have a NEWEA regulatory membership and be employed by either USEPA, CT DEEP, ME DEP, MA DEP, NH DES, RI DEM, or VT DEC.

Q. I would like to bring my wife/husband/partner with me. Do they have to register?
A. No. Spouses/Guests/Partners only have to register if they wish to attend the Monday and Tuesday evening receptions with you. Spouse/guest/partners must be a non water professional.

Q. Will I receive a confirmation for my registration?
A. Yes, confirmation of registration will be emailed to all attendees prior to the conference.

Q. Can I receive Training Contact Hours (TCHs) or Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for attending the Spring Meeting?
A. Yes, NEWEA offers Training Contact Hours (TCHs) for operator recertification and Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for engineers. Attendees must scan their badge barcode into and out of each session to receive credit. Refer to the final program for state approvals. Certificates will be emailed out afterwards.

Q. What is the registration cancellation policy?
A. Cancellations must be submitted IN WRITING by May 3, 2024. A 25% service fee will apply to all cancellations received before May 3rd; no refunds will be made on registration fees or special events after May 3rd. Due to Association agreements and guarantees, fees are forfeited if you are not able to attend the conference.

Q. Do you offer Sponsorship Opportunities?
